ABOUT PROJECT: A medium-sized hydropower plant is being built in the Samegrelo region of Georgia, according to the order of the Georgian Investment Group—Energy (GIGE). The installed capacity of the HPP is 46 MW. The 6.6 km long tunnel was drilled with modern technology by TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine). The owner’s engineering scope is under Multiconsult UK, which together with the LSG Solutions local team is responsible for monitoring the work and ensuring that the construction is carried out with quality.
